Editors Retreat is a five-day event packed with inspiration, challenges, and solutions supported by some of the best working professionals in the industry. Attendees not only rub shoulders with Academy Award Winning keynote guests, but the Retreaters themselves are a crush of expertise and skill sets. Editors Retreat Alumni come from a wide variety of backgrounds and projects.
Editors Retreat lives up to its name: the days are jam-packed with sessions ranging from technical to inspirational, while the evenings are filled with networking events, dinners and outings. There is even a poker night that has been a tradition. Imagine doing that for 5 days straight with a small group. Many of them have known each other for years thanks to this event, and they are quick to welcome the newbies. Just have a good sense of humor and be passionate about what you do, and you are in! This group will become your go-to source for bouncing ideas and solving problems.
This is the 11th year for the show and we are telling you about it not only because it is a great event but also because, for the first time, Editors Retreat comes to Nashville on January 18 – 22! This is in our back yard, so you owe it to yourself to at least take a look at the program and learn more about the event.

More about the event
Editors Retreat is produced by Future Media Concepts (FMC) in collaboration with the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). FMC produces a lot of other conferences that have open attendance, however, for Editors Retreat there is an application process. It may sound intimidating, but that is not the goal. The purpose is to assure that everyone attending has a certain level of experience and can keep up with sessions. If you are an experienced TV, film or video editor, this is your event.
