[/themeone_header][vc_column_text]Several years ago Tyler Bradley (1st AC) and I boarded an airliner in Guatemala City after filming for almost 3 weeks. We grabbed a seats and recollected on the work we just accomplished and the journey it took to get there. We had been filming for a documentary that centered on the issue of street children and youth living in the streets as young as 6 years old. We not only filmed some of these kids but also were able to meet them, interact and get to know their stories in a personal way.[/vc_column_text][themeone_spacer height=”20px”][vc_single_image image=”4535″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center” css_animation=”fadeIn”][themeone_spacer height=”20px”][vc_column_text]After a few moments of sitting on that plane about to take off Tyler looked at me stated how much he enjoyed working on this film and how he could be a part of teams like this that produced stories that could impact an audience and be of benefit for a greater cause. You see, Tyler, myself, and everyone else on the production team were volunteers. We had a passion for telling stories such as these and the creatives that gave of their time and skills were impacted just as much as the audience in which we were making the film.

Since then I had heard from several filmmakers who donated their time on other projects and expressed their desire to do the same, even on a regular basis. After taking the leadership role for NFG I saw the potential in creating an outlet for film and video creatives to do just that. Thus, StoryGive was born.[/vc_column_text][themeone_header type=”h2″ txtalign=”txt-center”]

[/themeone_header][vc_column_text]StoryGive is an effort in which the film and video community plans, captures and cuts together a short story for another non-profit in Middle Tennessee. This production happens over a single weekend in which teams are created and responsible for producing a high quality narrative style video that captures the essence and mission of the non-profit organization we are serving.

These teams carry out the full process of production, from concept and script, to pre-production all the way final edit, color and delivery. There’s no level of skill required to join a team, we volunteer and create together. As an education based non-profit organization it’s our desire that StoryGive be just as much about learning as it is about giving.[/vc_column_text][themeone_header type=”h2″ txtalign=”txt-center”]
